Due to loads of work at the moment I really haven't got time to be blogging but this is worth it...

I designed and built a low budget quick website for a company that hires out things such as portable traffic lights and so on. I just had a look on Google to see if my search engine optimisation efforts where really worth the extra time spent on the project.

I was quite surprised to see that when I typed in 'hire solar powered traffic lights' and clicked on 'pages from Australia', the website I created was number 5 and 6 on the very first page of Google out of 7220 results six days after launch!

They are already receiving inquiries and this is not a re-launch, this is a brand new website with no advertising done for it. I'm pretty certain the website will pay for itself in less than a month. In the long term it will pay for itself many times over. If you add in the fact that, as it is built in Joomla and is thereby completely scalable it makes you wonder why some people hesitate to part with their cash for a low budget website.

I don't profess to be search engine optimisation specialist but I keep my finger on the pulse and follow a few basic rules as standard on all websites I create.
