Well it looks as if I have made the right decision for myself and my clients in choosing to specialise in the Joomla content management system.  What makes me so confident that I'm correct in this matter? could it be that the United Nations has also come to the same conclusion? Yes is the answer.

Through my research in providing multi lingual functionality for one of my clients websites I came across the 'Joomfish' opensource component that does exactly that. On their website in the 'showcase' section is an article on "United Nations Regional Information Centre for Western Europe (UNRIC)". It basically says the website has over 7000 documents in 13 different languages! - it's all built in Joomla! and uses Joomfish for multiple languages.

Go Joomla and long live opensource! ;)
