JRD - Joomla Resources Directory is good for business
Posted by: morktron on Jun 26, 2009
As a Joomla obsessed website designer and developer I like to keep a very close eye on Joomla developments. The best way to do this is of course Twitter. This is how I got to help test the new JRD - Joomla Resources Directory.
The JED is directory run by Joomla that enables those who provide Joomla services list their business (for free!). I'm not a professional copywriter or marketing guru but despite my humble business decription on the JRD I'm getting some good traffic to my website. Have a look:
It was only launched less than two weeks ago! I've already had one client via the JRD (who kindly wrote me a good review). I must admit though I did tell a lie on the JRD: I don't really speak Klingon ;). I thought someone would notice that and tell me off before the site was launched?
Feedback
One suggestion though is that I'd like my existing and future clients to give me good feedback on the JRD but to do so they have to register with the site. Is it not unrealistic to expect clients to go so out of the way to give feedback?
Feedback / testimonials (whatever you want to call them) on the JRD would be far superior to having feedback on my own website. On the JRD they could say what they want and I would have no way of editing or removing anything negative, it would be 100% honest!
Anyway, one million thank yous to the JRD team, you rock!
