This client found my website directly off Google and had the good sense to hire me. They wanted a low cost quick and easy website with a construction / traffic feel that would appeal to their potential clients. As well as getting them work directly off the Internet the website would also serve as a quick reference and as a place to print out the 'terms and conditions' of hire for clients sourced offline.
The website had to be expandable and easily up-datable. I used Joomla of course and to keep the costs down low I bought a template and thoroughly modified it to suit. They had an existing logo which I adapted slightly to make it stand out but at the same time made sure it still tied in with their branding.
To make the website design look a little 'roady' I used a stock photo of a road as the page background, highly compressed of course to make the website more accessible. As you can see I also used a 3d construction worker character. The website has a pulsing red, amber and green effect on the menus which ties in with their logo.
In the end I managed to keep the cost down low and I look forward to seeing how much extra work they will now have :)
