This website is was a very tricky one to do but enjoyable all the same. It uses the Joomla content management system with a customised version of the VirtueMart eCommerce extension.
It promotes and sells "My Emergency Alert Card" for use in emergency situations. I modified VirtueMart so that it has a form instead of a product. There are various automated discounts that work according multiple rules.
Everything that is filled out in the form can be exported from the website and sent directly to the printer of the card. The information is kept on file in case anyone needs to re-order a card.
The primary focus of this site was to get the functionality working within the clients budget. The aesthetics came further down the list. A lot of time was spent researching and developing a way to achieve the clients goals without having to make build a custom web application from scratch.
We got there in the end and it is all working well.
I designed the logo as well within a small time frame to keep down the costs until everything is up and running smoothly and the worldwide orders come pouring in.
