Workboats Northern Australia

This one was for a company in the very north of Australia. I went on their flagship boat for a whole shift while they towed a huge flexible pipe off the harbor and into the open ocean.

There was no brief for this site just a list of what they wanted in it plus a few photo's and the requirement that they needed to be able to edit the content themselves. So of course I used my old favorite: Joomla. I had to work with their existing logo but chose to keep the colours of the template the same as the original since using the logo's colours would make it too saturated.

They also wanted a blog, I chose to use "Jom Comment" for the blogging component after reading the advice of the SEO people at Alledia.

Within a year of launching the website they secured some very big contracts due to other companies finding them on Google. I don't know how to calculate ROI (Return On Investment) but I know that they made back nearly two hundred times what they paid for the website in one year! Plus they also got some good new staff who also found them.

This was all by just following some basic rules for Search Engine Optimisation. They didn't do any paid advertising at all. This is called 'organic traffic'.
